When we were tasked to do something disruptive for the brand, we didn’t want to do another ad. What we did was we identified a pain point with people and mechanics at large. The pouring of the engine oil itself. More often than not it tends to spill. As a solution to this problem, most people use a funnel to pour the oil without spilling. And in that, there was a solution staring back at us.
Why can’t the funnel become the pack itself?
And that’s how the ‘Funnel Pack’ was born. The client was so convinced of the design intervention to this inconvenient problem, that they applied this design to their most selling grade of engine oil – The 1 Litre pack of 15W40. The best part is that the client’s leading distributor has doubled the order and this design will get adapted to other grades of engine oils in the 1 litre category as on March 2022.
